Apricot Kernels Description
Amygdalin is often referred to as Vitamin B17 and is found in nitriloside rich fruits and plants. In its extracted, pure, concentrated form it is known as laetrile.
Vitamin B17 is a SECOND line of defence. The first being the availability of enzymes - particularly trypsin and chymotrypsin. These enzymes are consumed in the digestion of meat products, and hence the reduction or elimination of meat and the addition of these enzymes may play an important roll in your health, where vitamin B17 is required.
It has also been suggested that Latrile (B17) will only reach its target with sufficient zinc.
Suggested use of Apricot Kernels:
The kernels should be ground fresh and eaten immediately or should be chewed to a paste. Kernels should not be swallowed whole.
We suggest taking a small quantity initially every hour, to a maximum of 12g per day, increasing slowly to 28g per day. If nausea is experienced, we recommend reducing the dose and only increasing again when comfortable.
Dosage suggestions and Cautions:
These dosage suggestions are for adults, and should be reduced accordingly for children over the age of 12.
Younger children, pregnant and breas feeding women and anyone taking medication should consult their healthcare professional.
