Herbal Remedies for Constipation

Many herbal constipation remedies have been used for generations.  These remedies may have different modes of action, so please choose according to your needs.

Psyllium Husk powder for example has the best reputation as a source of fibre amongst the herbal remedies.  Many people find their bowel movements far more comfortable, complete and regular when a daily supply of fibre is added to their diet.  Of course it is vitally important when taking psylium to also ensure proper hydration.

Simply increasing water consumption may be key in resolving constipation, and the best way we have found to drive that hydration deep into the cells where it is needed most is by adding Plato H2O to youd day's drinking water.

Cascara Sagrada
Cascara Sagrada is another herbal remedy with a powerful reputation for helping resolve constipation.  It is claimed that this herb primarily promotes more frequent and more normal bowel movements through increased peristaltic motion.  In the book "Nature's Gentle Answer to Constipation" Cascara is referred to as the most natural and safest laxative available.
